Griffith and Chimaera wish-bones may show considerable deterioration unless they have been changed in recent times, this being primarily caused by corrosion due to the hostile environment within the wheel-arch. The reduced strength of these parts may also be detrimental when considering an upgrade to the suspension where higher rated spring sets are specified, these imposing substantially increased loads on the wishbones.
